Service Description

I provide in class facilitation support for children within their school environment, helping them navigate daily routines and developmental challenges with confidence. This service involves attending school alongside the child and offering individualized support tailored to their specific needs. Areas of focus may include: Social interaction and building positive relationships with peers. Communication skills eg. speech, expressing needs through functional language. Emotional regulation in potentially overwhelming or overstimulating environments. Cognitive development eg. attention, problem solving and task engagement. Motor skills and participation in tabletop activities. Bilateral coordination and engagement in group tasks. Support with transitions between activities and throughout the school day. Classroom readiness, including following routines, instructions and participating appropriately in class activities. Please note these are examples of areas that can be supported. Each child’s support is individualized based on their unique needs. I work closely with teachers and parents to ensure a collaborative, consistent approach to their development across all settings. A daily observation report is provided, highlighting strengths, areas of development, notable behavioural patterns and any challenges or difficulties observed. This service also allows parents to gain valuable insight into their child’s strengths and challenges within their schooling journey, helping to guide ongoing support and decision making. Where needed, I also offer practical strategies and tips to support their continued growth both at school and at home. The goal of this service is to support each child in becoming more independent, confident and engaged in their learning environment.
