I provide parent guidance and group support services aimed at empowering others with the knowledge, tools and confidence to support their child’s development effectively. This service is particularly valuable for families who may not have access to ongoing therapy or who are looking for guidance and support to navigate their child’s needs within the home environment. Parent guidance focuses on better understanding their child’s unique strengths, challenges and developmental needs. Examples may include: Understanding behaviour and identifying underlying needs. Supporting communication development and encouraging functional language. Managing emotional regulation and responding to challenging behaviours. Creating structure, routines and consistency at home. Supporting transitions and daily activities. Encouraging social interaction and play skills. Building confidence in implementing strategies at home. Please note these are examples of areas that can be supported. Each family’s support plan is based on their unique needs. Group support sessions offer a more accessible and collaborative approach, allowing parents to come together in a supportive environment. These sessions can help reduce costs while providing valuable shared learning experiences. Groups may be formed around shared needs or experiences (parents of children with similar developmental profiles) creating a space where participants can: Share experiences and challenges. Discuss different approaches and strategies. Explore real life examples and practical solutions. Ask questions and receive guidance. Gain reassurance and support from others in similar situations. The aim of this service is to provide practical, realistic guidance that can be applied in everyday life while also creating a sense of support, connection and reassurance for parents and caregivers.
