Service Description

I offer emotional regulation guidance sessions designed to support children in understanding and managing their emotions across a variety of environments. These sessions are not limited to one setting and can take place in the home, school or other environments where your child may experience challenges. The focus is on helping children navigate real life situations that may feel overwhelming, overstimulating or difficult to manage. Support is individualized to each child’s needs and daily experiences. Areas of focus may include: Developing emotional awareness, identifying feelings and communicating those feelings appropriately. Learning and practicing self regulation strategies with guidance. Managing frustration, anxiety and overstimulation in different environments. Building coping skills that can be applied in everyday situations. Supporting transitions and changes in routine. Navigating interactions with family members and others. Promoting confidence and independence in managing emotions. Please note these are examples of areas that can be supported. Sessions are practical and hands on, focusing on real life application within the child’s natural environments. This allows for meaningful support where challenges are most likely to occur, making strategies more effective and easier to carry over into daily life. This service provides a practical, flexible and individualized approach to emotional development, supporting both the child and family in creating a more regulated and balanced environment. The goal is to equip children with the tools they need to understand, express and manage their emotions confidently across all areas of their daily lives.
